How PIXTA metadata actually works
- Keywords – up to 50 per file. Enter them in order of importance – single words, not sentences. PIXTA’s search runs on the keywords.
- Title – up to 200 characters, required. In Lemika you set the title length you want, and it generates every title within that range.
- Comment (description) – up to 250 characters, optional. Title and keywords are the required fields; the comment is optional. PIXTA’s search runs on the keywords, not the comment.
- Photos vs video — two metadata routes. Photos and illustrations: PIXTA reads IPTC/XMP embedded in the file and doesn’t accept a CSV for these. Video: PIXTA doesn’t read embedded metadata, only a CSV. Lemika handles both sides.
- No AI-generated content. PIXTA stopped accepting AI-generated content in April 2026 and removed existing AI works. Assistive AI editing — upscaling, noise reduction — is still allowed.
- No editorial submissions. PIXTA is a commercial marketplace, with no editorial track. Identifiable people, private property, and third-party brands or logos either need releases or have to stay out of your submissions.
